Don't let these pictures fool you!!
We had a very traumatic and tiring day at Children's Hospital. She looks so happy in these pics--but she wasn't. I think she just likes to get her picture taken and to pose. Anyway, yesterday Macy had her tonsillectomy/adnoidectomy surgery. They kept her overnight to make sure everything was good because of her size. Children's hospital is great, the people, the game rooms, and I'm glad we chose that hospital. But, last night was rough. After Greg left, things took a dive. It started out nice, macy slept for about an hour then I noticed she had an accident (which they said sometimes happens with the codeine, they sleep so hard). Then we had another accident! Then I accidently stepped on her IV line and pulled it right out of her arm--which means there was blood spurting everywhere (this was at 2:30 am), then she was complaining of stomach aches. So, to distract her we watched a movie at 3:00am and read a book about princesses. We then go into the bathroom, and Macy throws up all over. Puke everywhere. The poor nurse didn't know what to do with us last night. We finally snuggled in around 4:30 to sleep and was awakened at 5:15 for medicine and vitals (of course). After going back to sleep we were awakened at 7:00 for breakfast. So in all we had about 2-3 hours of sleep. The poor girl is exhausted. One of the child life specialists came in today and we had a little tea party (they wouldn't let us leave until Macy started drinking liquids and not throwing them up) with chocolate milk. it was cute. We finally got home around 1:00. wooh. So that's the story of macy's surgery.
Here is a picture of us reading a book before bed tonight. I guess it's on the top. I still don't know how to arrange pictures on this blog. oh well.

camping and our canoe trip
We took a canoe from taylors falls to Osceola this last weekend. It was pretty fun. Macy found a gigantic feather, but she didn't really enjoy riding along...."are we there yet" was all we could hear for about an hour. We then drove up to st. croix state park and camped the night there. Macy and Greg ended up with big bug bite welts all over their bodies. For some reason, the mosquitos really love their blood.

children's festival
the girls could not wait for face painting--actually the adults did not want to wait in the long line, so Amy found some markers and colored on their faces. Everyone was happy.
They didn't know I was taking this picture. They just love each other!
Every year we love going to the children's festival downtown st. paul. Here are a few highlights of Macy with her friend Lily. (Amy, I hope you don't mind I put Lily's pic on here!!! but she is just too cute!!)

Our next job is going to be painting the house. we will have a house painting party this summer. prob. early June. We will need all the help we can get and will provide food/liquor/beer. It will be fun. we promise.
My Project
This is my project. I am going to become a gardener and plant expert! haha. The above picture is the side of the house. I have removed the rose bush from the trellis because it didn't look pretty. As you can see I started weeding out. I think we have some flowers growing already but it may be just weeds. And to think in college i took a class called Indoor plants and Landscaping oh and also i took plant propagation. How did I pass???
This is a picture of the area in back of the garage that I am personally going to turn into a nice vegetable garden. Not sure what I will grow, but probably zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, maybe lettuce?? Not sure. First I have to build my garden bed. Does anyone know when I should start planting?? I hope it's not too late already.
This is the area by the back steps. By the end of summer it ill be a beautiful flower area. ooh maybe I can grow some berries. are berries hard to maintain. I would like blueberries.
This is the side of the house that I have started weeding and cleaning out. You can see all my hard work. And you can see where some flowers are already growing (unless they are weeds?!) By the end of summer it will be a lush beautiful landscaping feat!
PLEASE WISH ME LUCK!!!
